AREBT Safeguarding Policies

AREBT AND SAFEGUARDING

AREBT is committed to the protection of vulnerable adults and children.  AREBT has a safeguarding lead on the AREBT Board, and has a policy and procedure for any safeguarding issues that it becomes aware of.

As a professional body, AREBT makes a positive contribution to a strong and safe community and recognises the right of every individual to remain safe.  If AREBT identifies a safeguarding issue when dealing with a complaint about a member, then it will follow AREBT’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

Also, if the member is accredited and represented on the CBT Register, then the AREBT will advise the BABCP of the safeguarding concern.

As well as acting when it recognises a safeguarding issue, AREBT also works proactively setting standards for its members through its Code of Conduct and developing good practice guidance.
