Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you all to the home of the Association for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (AREBT). We are a professional membership body established in 1993 by a group of psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists. This year we are celebrating 30 years of service to our members and the public.

Whether you are a Practitioner of REBT, someone who is currently studying in the field of REBT or someone with an interest in the field in the field we welcome you all. We especially welcome members of the public to our website to find out more about REBT.

As a professional membership body, we aim to promote high standards in the practice of REBT amongst our members. Our accredited members are listed on The CBT Register: a joint national register of all AREBT and BABCP accredited members. This register is a Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA) accredited register. On our website we also have listings of other qualified REBT practitioners. All our full members have qualifications in REBT and sign up to our ethical code.

We hope that the website covers all of the areas that you have visited us for but if not please contact us with any questions or suggestions.

If you wish to contribute to the website; whether it be news you think we should feature, an area we should be discussing on twitter, an article you would like to see published or a book you would like to see reviewed or review yourself then please get in touch, we welcome all contributions.
